President Trump lashes out at Nordstorm for dropping Ivanka‘s clothing and accessories line. The president of the united states has been criticized for singling out companies for criticism therefore prompting gyrations in their stock prices but those controversies involved government contracts never anything to do with is family.

Nordstorm said on Friday that it was dropping Ivanka Trump‘s line, a decision made based on sales performance. A campaign using the hashtag #GrabYourWallet, which encouraged shoppers to boycott products with ties to the President, his family and donors, called the announcement a victory.

Nordstorm‘s stock dropped briefly after the twitter post and rose again.

What are your thoughts on President Trump attacking businesses for personal reasons?

@annie,you feel so good joking about tribes and mess, right? The type of things you LOL at says a lot about you.someone from that tribe will reply with something nastier and the back and forth will start. I think we need more intellectual sparring on this blog(it is almost gone),not some childish tribe jabs and sentiments.

      Develop a sense of humor.

After all belonging to an ethnic group has shaped us. Every group has good and bad.

Abeg, it is not that serious until we are talking about politics, especially present day Nigerian government.

I don’t think it’s Fair if his family is victimized because people don’t like Trump’s political views

Ivanka worked for his presidential campaign. She and her husband were his top advisors when he was running. Ivanka’s husband is now a very powerful man in Trump’s White House. She followed him to DC to capitalize on the election, and was happy to participate in diplomatic meetings based solely on the fact that she is Trump’s daughter.

If Ivanka does not want to be “victimized”, she should have stayed in New York and stuck to clothing. In fact, she should have used her UPenn education to go into something else beyond riding Daddy’s train. Ivanka’s brand is ruined and will remain that way because she (and Donald) misunderstood their customer base. The kind of people that can afford to buy Ivanka’s clothes are the ones that voted against her father. She needs to explore a budget denim range at Walmart if she wants to make any money in the fashion industry in the next four year.

Sorry, your political views affect your personal life because it mirrors each other . What if the company owner, CEO is a Muslim or a foreigner and he simply just doesn’t agree with trump’s ideology. Ivanka will be fine. And it’s a business move, a line is not selling bcos people are not buying it. No need to keep it there, just drop it. However, her line will still sell anyway.

Do you know how many people Donald Trump has, will fuck over if they don’t agree with him then his political views. Trump is a dirty busines man and he plays it well. This shouldn’t be new to him.
I can’t believe people are actually falling for him whinning and cry baby antics.

Some people are hoping he commits some constitutional blunder that would warrant his impeachment. I think that’s a long road. The easier route would be for his own party to grow tired of his antics and join hands with the opposition party to brand him impaired and unable to fulfill the responsibilities of the presidency. This way, they can remove him with a straight jacket and off to an asylum.

All I know is that I’m gonna stop believing the media..after all the media hype and ‘prophecies’ this guy won. If he was that hated, how did he win the electoral vote. Maybe America doesn’t really hate him the way media keeps portraying it.

Ok. Electoral college is very different from the popular vote which Hillary won by a lot. Electoral college assigns a specific number of votes to each states (not sure what the number is based on) and if that state swings red for republicans and they have 10 votes, trump gets those 10 votes now that does not mean that a lot of people like trump it just means in that state republicans got more votes. November elections were tricky because according to polls, Trump had less votes than Romney and McCain combined but still won and that is because I believe Americans were tired and many don’t think their vote counts based on this so called electoral college so they just didn’t care to vote as a result, we have trump in office. Those rural area residents bought into his “make America great again” dream and voted. While Hillary supporters got too comfortable and thought they had it in the bag and many didn’t vote because they did not believe they needed to. So if we were counting individual votes, Hillary would be our president but America’s voting system never worked that way.

Because Americans worship money and Donald as the con man that he is used what they like to get them. He promised to bring back their jobs so that they will make more money. Most whites are racists and he promised to send immigrants out of American and since that is what they like, they voted for who promised them that. They don’t like Trump, they just like what he lied to them about.

I really wonder if it’s right that citizens of a country will blatantly refuse to work with their leader(who was voted in legally) because they do not agree with his political views. It’s suddenly fashionable to be anti-Trump and people are getting cheap popularity just by making fun of him. He really does have his issues but can’t America see that their efforts to work so hard against him weaken their system as a whole? If they say they are the greatest country in the world, but yet make a fool of their leader, do they know it automatically makes the whole country look foolish? And for Democrats and liberals, even if they don’t agree with the opposing views does it invalidate the rights of those people to their views? Some people want protectionist economies; some want free trade. Does not wanting one make the other bad? At the end of the day so many people are becoming political pawns of certain people without knowing it and they will actually be of more use if they could sit down and work out what they can get from this government and how to win the next election .

And what if working with him on those policies cause more harm than good. Businesses like him because they want deregulation but you need regulation for the public. Businesses are in to make money and not to be a charity. Without regulation, you have Nigeria. You have companies selling spoiled products at a markup. You have people making fake drugs. You have no law that makes sure that products meet a certain quality or that there is a minimum wage. Businesses can be brutal, but they can be good. Over regulation is a problem but the efforts right now are to curtail policies that would endanger the public.

If you want your 15 min of fame, bash Trump, it is the reigning thing now. Many D list celebrities are using it to breath lives into their careers. Trump on the other hand is like a child and keeps giving them ammunition to bash him.

Yes, I can ka is your daughter and you have the right to stand up for her.
But you are also the President of the US. This family is really mixing family and country issues together.
There needs to be a clear distinction between the two.
With the way Trump uses words, I am waiting to see when he will say something damaging, that will cause a lot of chaos.
